Take Control

I have two other blogs that is truly mine. Free web hosting is a good startup but soon you'll discover its limitations. But where do you start looking for the most reliable web host around? As many others before me, I consulted friends and of course, the trusty internet. There are sites out there that could give you the answers to your questions. They have a myriad of information on the best and cheapest hosts. You'll be able to compare the different packages and costs of web hosts.

Check out HostMonster Review. They are one of the web hosts that is comparable if not better than some of the leading hosts around. They host more than 450,000 domains. With features like unlimited disk space, unlimited domain and bandwidth, you wouldn't have to worry about the dreaded "exceeded bandwidth" issue. They come will full 24/7 technical support that can be reached through email, phone and even live chat.

They'll walk you through when you start building your site. They even have a shopping cart feature should you decide to sell some items in your site. Scripts are no problem as well as they support the most popular platforms. From Java to Shockwave, your site will be able to display audios and videos. A sign that they mean business is that they offer you a money back guarantee. This is how legitimate and sound businesses operate.

Take control of your site. Having your own website brings more options and freedom for you.

Disappointing Tiger

At the top of his career and with money pouring in, Tiger Woods practically imploded. Was it because his father isn't there anymore? Infidelity seems to get the best of a man. He had fame and fortune and it was all up to Tiger to be a real man. I really find it hard to understand why some men cheat. Every man should know what he is going into when getting hitched.

Is it that I expect others to be like me? I guess that's how I set the standards. If a simple man like me can stay faithful, why can't a man of Tiger's stature do the same. I guess some men think too much of themselves. They think of only their happiness. Whatever the case maybe, Tiger has himself to blame. I just hope that after this experience, Tiger will be a better man. It is sad to see role models destroy the image they worked so hard to build.

Saving Up for E85

I'm using Shell's E10. It's 10% ethanol. Brazil and Europe has the E85 which is 85% ethanol and it was recently introduced here. But to use this fuel, I need a unit that would override my car's ECU so my engine could adjust to the ethanol. At present, the conversion is quite expensive. I hope to save enough to get it installed by early next year.

The E85 is also being carried by one company with very few stations. This also another thing to consider before I get the conversion kit. The nearest filling station is several miles away from my place. It's a long drive and would be impractical and costly for me. I will still get the kit but would have to wait until such time that the fuel would be widely available.

Global warming is a problem we need to address with haste. The Philippines was recently hit by typhoons with strengths never experienced by the country before. I saw the devastation it cost. We need to come together and find a solution. We have to make some sacrifices we we want humankind to survive.

Crazy About Football

Well my son's finally into sports. The only problem is that the sports he's interested in does not exist here. He wants to play football. No not soccer but the American football. We do have tag football here but that's not what he wants. He's says it's a lame game. He wants the full contact, bruising American brand. I just bought a ball and all we can do is do passes. I really don't know how he got interested. He just approached me one day and told me he wants to play football.

So now here's our dilemma, how on earth can he enjoy the sport when no one even plays it here. American football isn't popular here because Filipinos are small, physically. My son's getting frustrated. All he can do now is collect cards, watch the games on ESPN and play Madden whenever he can. I too am getting frustrated. I guess all we can do now is simply wait for the sport to reach our shores.

Keep Cool

I'm very competitive especially in sports. I play hard but play fair. I don't even complain about a bad call. I just take it in stride and tell myself it's all part of the game. I'm just an amateur what mor for professionals. Serena Williams bowed out of the US Open because of an incident with an line umpire. Professional athletes should always act professionally. She could have taken her case to the umpire instead of shouting profanities.

This the problem with athletes, especially the stars. They're supposed to be role models for kids to emulate. So they're only human and they could be caught up in the moment, but it's still no excuse to flare up. This is why they are called professionals. It means they're a cut above the rest. I mere Joes can keep their cool, shouldn't these pros do a better job?

I suggest they do what I do, simply smile and keep my thoughts to myself. Referees are human too, they're bound to make a bad call anytime. Just think of what an ass you'll make of yourself by blowing your top in front of so many people. Let the spectators do the booing and let them be the ones to let the official know he made a bad call.
